Note: Lledó et al., (2005) found two species of Afrolimon Lincz. (1979) nested in Limonium Mill. (1754) and therefore the maintenance of a separate genus is not recommended (Hernández-Ledesma et al., 2015). However, both COL (2017) and APD (2017) do not support this synonymy and so this taxon page is retained for reference.
