- ↑ 2570. MS. ‘ḡ scipe.’ Heyne adopts Mūllenhoff’s emendation, ‘scrīðan tō,/gescīfe scyndan,’ shoving himself, advancing, which the latter' bases on a gloss, “per praeceps, niðerscife [?], marg. niðerscēotende” (Haupt ix. 468 b).
