urdoare
Romanian
Etymology
Uncertain. Either from Vulgar Latin root *horridor, horridōrem, from Latin horridus, possibly akin to French ordure (“garbage, refuse”) (cf. also Old Catalan hòrreu (“filthy”), Old Spanish horrura (“filth, impurity, scum”)), or more likely from Latin odor, odōrem, with the addition of the -r- later.
Noun
urdoare f (plural urdori)
