Etymology

From tri- +‎ chilia- + Ancient Greek κόσμος (kósmos, “world”), partially calquing Sanskrit त्रिसहस्रमहासहस्रलोकधातु (trisahasramahāsahasralokadhātu, literally “three thousand million world element”).
