Etymology
From Czech Táborita. Equivalent to Tabor + -ite, after Tábor, a hill or fortress where they encamped during the Hussite Wars, later a town. See also Czech tábor.

- (Christianity, historical) A member of a 15th-century religious sect, associated with Hussitism and the Bohemian Reformation, that rejected the unique authority of the Catholic Church in matters of faith and was considered heresy.
