From Italian magazzino (“warehouse”), from Arabic مَخْزَن‎ (maḵzan, “warehouse”) and its plural مَخازِن‎ (maḵāzin). The military senses are from French magasin, the sense “periodical” from English magazine, both from the same Italian and Arabic sources.
