- A taxonomic species within the family Amaranthaceae – prickly saltwort, or prickly glasswort, an annual plant that grows in salty, sandy soils along the shores of Baltic Sea, North Sea and the European Atlantic Ocean.
Usage notes
- The species is better known by its synonym (now considered incorrect), Salsola kali. In North America, this is usually an error for Kali tragus
