- Posture the dominant hand in the “flat C” handshape about half an arm's length in front and aside of the mouth, palm facing across.
- Close the fingers to the thumb, forming the "flat O" shape, reopen them, and close them again while moving the hand aside (to the dominant side).
- Hold the hand still briefly.
