Old Armenian
Etymology
Probably from the stem vowel -a- + Proto-Indo-European *-k(o)- suffix. Compare -ոք (-okʿ).
Suffix
-աք • (-akʿ)
- A suffix found in թանաք (tʿanakʿ), սլաք (slakʿ) and probably արտաքին (artakʿin), արտաքս (artakʿs). The -kʿ- in ներքին (nerkʿin), ներքոյ (nerkʿoy) is probably of the same origin.
