Usage notes
- The suffix is added to the stem of the word (i.e. minus its final vowel, if any).

- Unstressed e normally becomes ё when stressed.
- In some cases, a suffix is dropped, as in со́лнышко (sólnyško) from со́лнце (sólnce).
- The normal plural is irregular -́ышки.
