sanhyoŭk sannha, a diacritic (័) used in some Sanskrit and Pali loanwords (although alternative spellings usually exist); it is written above a consonant to represent the vowels /a/, /oa/, /ɔə/, /ea/. When it occurs with O-series consonants and a following យ(yɔɔ), it is pronounced /e/.
