Etymology
From Sanskrit अनुक्रम (anukrama, “succession, order, sequence; arrangement; table of contents, index; etc.”); compare Pali anukkama (“order; turn; succession; etc”). Equivalent to อนุ + กรม (grom). Cognate with Lao ອະນຸກົມ (’a nu kom), Khmer អនុក្រម (ʾɑɑnukrɔɔm).
