Usage notes

In the modern judicial system of Thailand, the present term only refers to a judicial officer at a court of justice. A judicial officer at any other court is referred to as ตุลาการ (dtù-laa-gaan). Thai judicial officers, irrespective of their courts, are formally called ข้าราชการตุลาการ (kâa-râat-chá-gaan-dtù-laa-gaan).
