1. cl.10 P. (Dhātup. xxxv, 12) रचयति (pf. रचयाम्-आस Kathās. ; irr. fut. रचिष्यति Hariv. [with v.l. करिष्यति] ; and ind.p. रचयित्वा Vet.), to produce, fashion, form, make, construct, complete, cause, effect R. Var. &c. (with चिङ्ताम्, or चिन्ताः, to be anxious Prab.)
2. to make into (with double acc.) Bālar.
3. to compose, write (a book or any literary work) Ṡak. Var. Pañcat.
4. to place in or on (loc.) Kāv. Kathās.
5. to adorn, decorate Megh.
6. to cause to make or do (with double acc.) Uttarar.
7. to cause to move, put in motion (a horse) MBh.
