المشتري

Arabic
Etymology
From مُشْتَرٍ (muštarin), active participle of اِشْتَرَى (ištarā, “buy, purchase”); literally "the buyer," "the purchaser." Apparently the planet was so named because Arab astronomers observed that the planet persisted (اِسْتَشْرَى (istašrā)) in its orbit, though this is a derivation of a related but distinct verb.
