בננה
Hebrew
Etymology
Ultimately from Wolof banaana, via European languages in particular Spanish or Portuguese. The sense a girl is presumably connected to the phonological similarity to בָּנוֹת f pl (banót).
Noun
בָּנָנָה • (banána) f (plural indefinite בָּנָנוֹת, singular construct בָּנָנַת־)
- a banana
- a banana connector
- (slang, usually in the plural) a girl
