Vank is a small town that is easy to walk around. To get to nearby areas, such as Gandzasar Monastery, the best method is to call a cab. There is a taxi driver who waits outside Hotel Eclectica offering rides to nearby sites. Do not enter his taxi, as he charges double the local rate for rides, and demands a a ridiculous amount of money (250,000 dram) for a return trip.
