Pieniny

The Pieniny or Pieniny mountains (in Polish Pieniny, which is a plural proper noun) is a mountain range on in the south of Poland and the north of Eastern Slovakia, part of the Carpathian Mountains. They are situated north east od the Tatra Mountains. On the Polish side a part of the range is protected by the Pieniński National Park.

The park is known for its natural beauty, including the gorges of the Dunajec River, the raft trip is one of the main tourist attractions with hiking. The park offers visitors a glimpse of folklore and traditional architecture, especially the village of Červený Kláštor and its museum.
