Nan Madol
Understand
Nan Madol is a former city, nowadays a ruin, on Temwen island just outside the east coast of Pohnpei. Featuring canals and artificial islands, it is sometimes referred to as the Venice of the Pacific. The site is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
