Lower Austria is split into 4 regions each called a viertel (German for quarter).
| Industrieviertel (Industrial Quarter) |
| Mostviertel (Most Quarter) A hilly region with lots of beautiful countryside. Is especially pretty in mid April when trees bloom. Most is a form of cider that is grown here from pears and apples. |
