Latrobe is a township located on the North West Coast of Tasmania.

Latrobe is a sleepy, small town located on the Mesey River. It has many small and very nice cafes and boutique shops. It has a nice waterfront, as well as beach and caravan park.

Get in

Latrobe is roughly a 10 minute drive from Devonport, and a 70 minute drive from Launceston.

Get around

Bus services (Metro Tasmania, Mersey Link and Redline) operate around Latrobe and connect to other destinations around the state. However, travelling by car is the fastest and easiest option in Tasmania.

See

Latrobe is well known for its beautiful old buildings along the towns main street, Gilbert Street. There are many interesting places to visit including: Bells Parade, The Axemans Hall Of Fame, Reliquaire, and Anvers Chocolate Factory to name a few.

  • ๐ŸŒ Australian Axemanโ€™s Hall of Fame, Bell's Parade. Daily: 9:00am - 5:00pm. Museum of the sport of wood chopping. The building is made from a variety of local woods. Craft market on Sundays.
