Iojima

There are several places in Japan called Iojima or Iwo Jima:

  • Iojima in the Ogasawara Islands south of Tokyo, famous for the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II, very remote and off limits to casual tourism
  • Iojima in the Mishima Islands south of Kagoshima, a hot spring spot with an active volcano
