Grootfontein

Grootfontein is situated on the B8, a major highway in Namibia's north-east.

24 kilometres (15 mi) to the west of Grootfontein is the world's largest meteorite, the Hoba Meteorite. This tablet-shaped rock weighs over 60 tons and landed 80,000 years ago. It is also the largest single mass of iron anywhere in the world.
