Granby (Québec)

Granby, a pop-63433 town on Lake Boivin in Montérégie, is home to Québec's most famous zoological garden.

Autoroute 10, the motorway to the Eastern Townships, passes between Granby and Bromont on its way from Montréal to Magog and Sherbrooke.

🌍 Granby Zoo. The birthplace of a fine Canadian political tradition; le parti rhinocéros ran on a platform which claimed the late Cornélius I, a rhinoceros at the Granby Zoo, was ideally suited to be a Canadian politician due to attributes such as being thick-skinned and moving very slowly.

Directly south of Granby (across the autoroute) is Bromont, the site of the equestrian competition for the 1976 Montréal Olympic Games.
