Edmonton Capital Region refers to the metropolitan area of Edmonton, Alberta. The population of this area is 1.3 million (2016). It is the sixth largest metro area in Canada. Edmonton's suburbs are small cities that usually rely on Edmonton for jobs, health care, and stuff to do.

- π St. Albert - population: 66,000. It is a clean city with scenic trails and parks. It is home to the MusΓ©e HΓ©ritage Museum and the Arden Theatre.

- π Elk Island National Park. Also, the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village on the edge of the park is a living history museum on detailing the traditional lives of the influential Ukrainian immigrants to Alberta.

Admission: adult $15.85, senior $11.75, student with ID $8.50, youth 13-17 $8.50, child 3-12 $4.50, child age 2 & under free, family $39.00.
First Tuesdays of the month are half price.
