Tambo is not built to face the Tambo River, but rather a central nature strip between the service road and the highway. This is quite pretty park, with gardens and visitor information boards.

Tambo River. You can walk over the highway bridge or the railtrail bridge over the river. The Tambo is not navigable to this point, but you can cool off a little in it.

Berry farm. Around 3km from town on the Omeo road, there is a berry farm, selling raspberries, blackberries and boysenberries for around $4 a punnet. Season Dec-Feb.
