Theodore W. Pietsch is an American ichthyologist, systematist, professor, and curator of fishes at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, University of Washington, Seattle. He has described nine genera and over 70 species of fishes, including Lasiognathus amphirhamphus in 2005 and Histiophryne psychedelica in 2009.
