Hyphessobrycon delimai Teixeira et al., 2016

Type locality: Brazil, Pará State, município de Itaituba, Igarapé Tatu, tributary of Rio Novo, Rio Tapajós basin; 06°18′24.8" S; 55°46′38.0" W.

Etymology: The specific epithet delimai is in honour of Flávio Cesar Thadeo de Lima for his numerous contributions to the knowledge of Neotropical freshwater fishes, especially the Characidae, and also for the many years of friendship and encouragement to the authors.
