- Type locality: "Bras de Pontho, Plaine des Cafres," Reunion Island
- Syntype: P. Commerson s.n. (P-00121789)
- Two of the specimens are the syntype for Eriotrix commersonii Cadet, 1970. (Boullet & Gigord, 2010)
