Commanded the Leopard gun-vessel in 1790; served as first lieutenant of the Alexander 74, Captain Alex. J. Ball, at the glorious battle of the Nile; obtained the rank of commander in Oct. 1798; held an appointment in the Irish Sea-Fencible service, during part of the late war; and was granted the out-pension of Greenwich Hospital, in June 1824.
