HENRY PROBYN, Esq.

Obtained his first commission in 1791, and the rank of commander in Aug. 1796; held an appointment in the SeaFencible service, under Captain (now Sir Charles) Tyler, at the renewal of the war with France, in 1803; and afterwards commanded, for short periods, the Blossom and Bonetta, ship-sloops.
