POEMS
UPON
Several Occaſions.
The Fourth Edition.
LONDON:
Printed for J. Tonſon, at Shakeſpear’s Head over-againſt Katharine-Street in the Strand.
M DCC XXVI.
Am to inform the Reader, that the following Collection contains all the Poems which have been written by the Right Honourable George Granville, Lord Lanſdown, very few of which have been ever before Printed; and as this Book is Publiſhed by his Lordſhip’s Permiſſion, I queſtion not but it will appear to be very Correct, which cannot be ſaid of ſome of the Poems, which as I have been told, came formerly into the World without his Lordſhip’s Knowledge and Approbation. For this Reason, and in Conſideration that the Subjects are various and entertaining, I make no doubt but this Edition will meet with a favourable Reception from the Publick.
