Now, therefore, be it known that I, ABRAHAM LINCOLN, President of the United States of America, do, in pursuance of the advice and consent of the Senate, as expressed in their resolution of the sixteenth day of July, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, accept, ratify, and confirm said treaty, with the amendment as aforesaid. In testimony whereof, I have caused the seal of the United States to be hereunto affixed, having signed the same with my hand. Done at the city of Washington, this twenty-eighth day of July, in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and sixty-two, [SEAL'] and of the Independence of the United States the eighty- seventh. ` ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
