BLISS CARMAN
For one who sees The great sun freeze, As he wanders a-cold From hill to hill ;
And all her heart Is a woven part Of the flurry and drift Of whirling snow;
For the sake of two Sad eyes and true, And the old, old love So long ago.
8?8. My Grief on the Sea
FROM THE IRISH
IY grief on the sea,
How the waves of it roll ! For they heave between me And the love of my soul !
Abandon'd, forsaken,
To grief and to care, Will the sea ever waken
Relief from despair ?
My grief and my trouble I
Would he and I were, In the province of Leinster,
Or County of Clare !
