There is no good ground for seeking a clue to the mystery of Shakespeare's ' Sonnets ' in the publisher's address to Mr. W. H. All the arguments which would identify Pembroke with the youth for whom Shakespeare in the ' Sonnets ' professes affection may safely be neglected.
