DISCOVERED IN HERTFORDSIl I UK. Anjlo Roman Sarcophagi. The singular sarcopliagus, of whicli a representation is here given, was found near llarpenden, in Hertfordshire ; the pre- cise circumstances of the discovery have not been recorded. It was presented to the British Museum in 1844, by C. W. Packe, Esq., M.P. for Northamptonshire, together with the vases which had been discovered in it^.
