Castes and Tribes of Southern India/Bhānde

Bhānde.— Recorded, in the Madras Census Report, 1901, as "a class of potters in the Ganjam Māliahs, a sub-division of Kumbhāro. The name is derived from the Sanskrit bhānda, a pot."
