William I, Prince of Orange, known as William the Silent or William the Taciturn, or simply as William of Orange: Count of Nassau-Dillenburg. Stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Friesland 1559-1584, leader of the Dutch Revolt, First Stadtholder of the United Provinces 1581-1584.
