British comic playwright and librettist, born in Barbados. His greatest hit as a librettist was his English-language adaptation of Les Cloches de Corneville.

Also known as Robert Reece Jr. to distinguish him from his father Robert Reece (1808-1874), Provost Marshal of Barbados, author of Hints to Young Barbados Planters.
