A town of Germany, in the extreme S.E. of Prussian Silesia, on the railway between Gleiwitz and Konigshatte. Pop. (1905) 55, 6 34. Like other towns in this populous region, it is an important manufacturing centre, having coal-mines, iron; wire, glass, chemical and oil works, breweries, &c.
