1911 Encyclopædia Britannica/Tshi

TSHI, Tchwi, Chi, or Oji, a group of Negro peoples of the Gold Coast (q.v.). The chief of these are the Ashanti, Fanti, Akim and Aquapem. Their common language is the Tshi, from which they gain their family name.
