Physics/Astronomy/Planets/Venus

Venus is the second planet from the Sun. Venus is sometimes described as Earth's "sister planet" because they are very close in size. Most of Venus's surface is volcanic plain, and the planet's surface appears to be shaped by volcanoes erupting. Venus is the brightest object, besides the Moon and sun, that can be seen from Earth.
