Demonstrative pronouns shows a certain noun. There are only six demonstrative pronouns; this, those, that, these.
This and that are used for a singular noun. Those and these are used for plurals and noun phrases. Usually, this and these are talk about things that are close to you, while that and those talk about things that are far away from you.
- This is used to indicate an object near the speaker, e.g. This water is dirty.
2)That is used to indicate an object far from the speaker, e.g. That disk is yellow.
3)These is used to indicate more than one object near the speaker, e.g. These marbles are mine.
4)Those is used to indicate more than one object far from the speaker, e.g. marbles are his.
