I have a Computer Science Degree and an MSc in both Music Technology and Advanced Environment and Energy Studies. I have been a Sys' Admin' and Audio Programmer, I have managed a few websites, and I have run Bitcoin mining rigs. Currently, I am studying for a PhD at the University of Sussex - I research blockchain technologies - in particular, I aim to answer the following question: "Are blockchains the means by which disparate communities may collaborate?" I reckon that technically, yes, blockchains are an excellent means of collaboration, but there are social, ethical and political factors that also have an influence.
