I am interested in writing my own bitcoin mining software (I.e. a node). I do have some coding experience but I am less knowledgeable about crypto currencies and I have no clue where to start on something like this. I’m looking to use it as a learning experience and to, perhaps, use some of what I learn on a related project I’m working on.

So, where do I begin?
