I'm working on a webapp right now (for me personally) and I now come to the part where I want to validate if someone send me a certain amount of altcoin, lets say Verge, and if I received said amount in my Verge wallet. I looked around to check if there are maybe some APIs out there but so far I only found the blockchain API which is only for BTC.. Can anyone help me out with this?
Edit: The receiving altcoin addresses are on Bittrex right now.

In general you won't always be able to find APIs for altcoins, because that depends on someone else running one. Much easier and technically a lot safer to run a full node for that coin in the backend and query it for transactions, etc. For example running verge daemon software which is forked from bitcoin source and querying it through the RPC interface

Using Bitcoin as an example, Bitcoin Core includes RPC that you could use to check what you have asked. Have a look around the various wallets for altcoins and see if any have the necessary programmatic features.
